Thermographic Testing uses infrared detection and mapping to identify temperature changes in electrical systems, heat flow through equipment, and temperature comparisons for various components and areas. Thermographic testing detects thermal waves that are invisible to the naked eye. Utilising this method of testing is a fast, reliable and accurate way of identifying potential issues.
Thermographic testing should be utilised as a key element in preventative maintenance. Utilising data about temperature fluctuations to identify potential maintenance issues that might lead to equipment failure, unexpected shutdown or potential safety issues before they occur. Thermal imaging can also be carried out without shutdown of equipment, allowing for the building to maintain operation whilst the inspection is carried out.
We will attend your premises to carry out an initial inspection, review of the required scope of assessment and agree the procedure, timescales and access arrangements for the full inspection. The initial Thermographic Inspection would be carried out and results analysed to identify any initial concerns or further inspection requirements. This would be detailed in a full analysis report. In addition to the initial survey, we are then able to schedule ongoing visit's to build up a trend for each item inspected, allowing for ongoing periodic analysis further improving the ability for pre-emptive rectification and maintenance.
There are no specific requirements or regulations on the frequency of inspections, however we recommend, for standard building operations, Thermographic Inspections are conducted annually as part of PPM and PAT testing regime.
We can attend your premises and carry out Thermographic Inspections, with minimum impact on operations. We are able to provide either a one-off inspection, which would identify any immediate potential issues. Or we are able to offer ongoing periodic Thermographic Imaging, allowing for full ongoing Trend analysis and reporting of equipment.
